On May 20, 2025, artist Pavel Kir took part in one of the key cultural events of the Cannes Film Festival — the Better World Fund Charity Gala, held at the Carlton Hotel in honor of the foundation’s 10th anniversary. The evening brought together guests from the worlds of art, cinema, fashion, and international humanitarian initiatives.
The event celebrated culture, philanthropy, and higher values. Among the honored guests were filmmaker and Salaam Baalak Trust founder Mira Nair, widely recognized for her social impact projects; Better World Fund founder and president Manuel Collas de la Roche; Oscar-winning director Stephen Mao; and actor Kevin Spacey, who co-hosted the evening.

The program included a concert, gala dinner, speeches by special guests, and a charity auction. Among the auction lots were guitars signed by Sting and Kevin Costner, haute couture pieces, and Pavel Kir’s artwork AI (Artificial Intelligence). His piece stood out as a self-contained artistic gesture — precise, timely, and philosophically resonant.
The artist personally presented his work, opening the auction with a speech.
AI is a reflection on artificial intelligence not as a tool, but as a full-fledged participant in the creative dialogue. It explores how neural networks permeate contemporary art and reshape its essence.
The work was sold within the first minutes of the auction.
All proceeds were donated to support the Indian charity Salaam Baalak Trust, which helps homeless children, as well as other Better World Fund programs focused on culture, healthcare, and education worldwide.
